Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 154 | I read a self help book a while back, and one of the things it preaches is that when you wake up in the morning, as soon as you hear the alarm, you should snap out of bed, throw pants on and either walk around the block or do some exercises. The idea is that it makes you live a more productive life. Thoughts? I've been trying to do it, but it's so hard to get up in the morning ![]()

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 32 | How about.. set the alarm clock early... Gargle listerine, then roll over & get some cardio - :bed2: That remynds me... My college - George Washington University - used to have surprise fire drill tests for the dormitory... I was alwayz the last one out... (so it seemed) ... I'd rather stand in the tub & fight the fyre with a shower hose. Peace..~G

And your alternative only works if you have a cardio partner. Forearm work outs aren't working for me anymore.

| IronMass Donator | Well, first, I totally co-sign on what Skelooth says about a cardio partner! Hey Game, when are coming back to the states again? Hmmmm???? And, second, I wholeheartedly agree with what that book said. I know for myself if I spend more than 30 seconds contemplating that alarm, my excuse machine starts up. Then my brain starts calculating how much longer I can sleep if I don't do "this" or if I do "that" tomorrow. Next thing I know I've wasted 30 mins excuse-hunting. The only thing that works for me is just getting up. Even if I'm just walking around the apartment in a sleepy stupor. :sleepy:
