Default Forgetting how to breathe

Has anyone ever woken up and not remembered how to breathe? Happened to me a couple of times in one night. I'd wake up, my lungs are empty and I'm too disoriented to know that I need to breathe in. After several of seconds of trying to figure out what the heck it is that I need to do, I'll gasp for air and start breathing normally. Wierd...

No comment on forgetting to breath or how to breath, but I thought this topic was going to be on squats in 100 degree weather

Could have done bench press max without a spotter... :saint:

I breath out when I lift and then inhale when I bring it down.

Never had that but I have had times where I started to think about my breathing and kinda hyper ventilated by thinking about it too much..lol.

Thanks for the link, Pj-Macx. I'll give that a read.

I don't think I've ever hyperventilated. Breathing too much sounds about as fun as breathing... uh... not enough.

First time it happened to me, my first that was that I was gonna puke, so I was trying not to breathe.

speaking of squats in 100 degree weather... those are coming soon. My gym doesn't have AC (or it does an they're too cheap to turn it on).

Neither does my gym, but it's only 85 and humid here

No for 40 yrs I have managed to recall how to breath. Even though many people have expressed in various fashions how they wished I would have forgotten.
