| IronMass Vip | You'd be better off with ibuprophen (commercially sold as motrin) or naproxen sodium (aleve), as they are anti-inflamitories. Salicylic Acid (asprin) is a blood thinner. Acetominophen (Tylenol) is effective as a pain reliever as it actually blocks pain receptors in your brain, but can cause liver damage if taken in excess or with alcohal. Asprin is good for certain types of headaches (such as tension headaches), but I've never heard it reccomended for body pain. I reccomend you switch to ibuprophen or naproxen sodium. Don't bother with brand names, I always buy generic. Naproxen was actually prescribed by my doctor for my wrist and for my tailbone, but I have a bad reaction to it, so I take diclofenac (generic for Volterin) which is also an anti-inflamitory, or ibuprophen.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 199 | Aspirin is most definitely an anti-inflammatory compound. "Aspirin or acetylsalicylic acid (acetosal) is a drug in the family of salicylates, often used as an analgesic (against minor pains and aches), antipyretic (against fever), and anti-inflammatory. It has also an anticoagulant ("blood-thinning") effect and is used in long-term low-doses to prevent heart attacks." I don't respond well to ibuprofens. Aleve works ok for me, but aspirin is the King of pain relievers for me personally.
