I woke up this morning and after i got out of the shower i did it again for about 5 minutes..just took a benadryl (antihistamine) and been fine so far all day...anyways what i'm wondering is if it gets as bad this month as it was last year i'm gonna have to carry some benadryl with me.. anyone else ever get like this? will this hurt the bodybuilding? make me lose energy or strenght? it never gets like this just a little while once a year for some reason.. |

So yeah probably takes a little out of the immune system and recovery time since your bodies dealing with all the afforemention nonsense. But when im in the gym, its air conidtioned and i still hit the weights and cardio as hard as in the summer. So dont worry about it is what im trying to say!!!! Benadryl i havent tried, i take loratidine (spelling?) or clarityn which is just a branded version. They're just antihistemein, extra vitamin C has seems to help, i usually take 3g a day, if i forget my allergies are worse. |

| Pro Stature | The thing about Benadryl is it knocks you out. I use to have them but not anymore. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 44 | I didn't have any allergies at all until I turned 18. Then BAM, terrible. It's mainly my eyes. At times they'd get so red and painful I wouldn't be able to keep them open out of pain. Every time I'd sleep my eyes would painfully glue shut and I'd need a hot shower before I could even open them because they were crusted over. I tried every prescription drug and eyedrop, all the normal ones, some helped. Mainly patanol for eye drops and I found Aerius (desloratadine, I think it's Clarinex for Amercians??) to be the best daily relief pill. It still wasn't to a really barable level. I still was a wheezing, red eyed zombie. Soooo... I bought this: http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pro...0062529&catid= Air filter for my bedroom. I can't even express how happy I am with it. I literally NO LONGER HAVE ALLERGIES! I'll go out and play tennis and be fine, maybe my eyes will get a little pink if I'm out for a long time, but then I come home and sleep in my room and it's better by morning. It never "builds up" enough to even become close to a problem with this thing. To further prove this, last weekend I got drunk (Yes, on a cut, I'm bad) and spent the night at a friends house (unfortunately a guy). I woke up in the morning with TERRIBLE allergies. I could barely breath and my eyes were nearly glued shut again. I figure I practically owe my life to this machine. ![]()

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 31 | yeah, I have hayfever too. Seems to hit me in an earlier window than most other people- from mid-spring to the beginning of summer. Also hits the hardest late at night and early in the morning. I assume whatever it is I'm actually allergic to pollenates at night. Anyways, the thing that works best for me are the intranasal sprays.

He takes Allegra-D, which is a prescription medicine in the US and it helps him somewhat, but he still stays in the house as much as possible and is sneezing a lot even with the medicine. It works better for him than Claritin did.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | Try Claratin it's over the counter now so you don't have to see a doctor and you can find generic versions that work just as good at half the price.
