Yeah, bump on all of these. Rows, seated rows, 1 arm rows, deadlifts, pull up, weighted pull ups, these should be the main exercises for anyone training back.

Bent Over Barbell Rows, T-Bar Rows and the other rowing exercises mentioned will do the trick.

No, haven't heard of those before. I look into them.

Mainly Rows help for Widening the Back. I probably forgot some.

You wanna focus on the lats for that.

Look at the sticky in the exercise section for lat exercises.

And when training your back don't forget to add some lower back exercises. I know way too many people who have disregarded lower back exercises and now they can't perform any type of rigorous bodybuilding exercise. Sorry for changing the subject a bit but I think this is an issue that needed to be addressed.

Good point, a strong lower back is key for a lot of other lifts.

I have to disagree with a lot of the exercises mentioned here for back width though. A lot of those movements are great for back thickness, but for width nothing beats pullups, chins, rack chins, pulldowns, etc. and other similar movements. While barbell bent rows, deadlifts, etc. will effect it somewhat these are primarily back thickness exercises. I can certainly feel the difference in how they hit my lats when I do them.

I may have to disagree with you. But I must consider that everyone has their differences; everyone will react differently with certain exercises and programs. I find that barbell rows with a narrow grip (close-grip) or a grip smaller than shoulder length really targets the width of the back. But then again, that's just me.

Everyone has mentioned exercise, but no one has mentioned the type of contraction when doing these exercise. In doing any of these exercise I believe the contration is just as important in feeling how the muscle contracts to help develope muscle maturity & the fullness of its belly..

It is very improtant.

I assume it's mandatory and always done. I'll remember just in case to put that.

It sounds a little weird doesn't it.

I tried them out and sort of felt not normal, but I did like them.
