Stronger Than My Dad

I was working out with my dad tonight and we were doing shoulder shrugs and I put 185 on it for a warm up.

After 2 sets I had 225 and my dad couldn't do it.

I thought he was just tired so I didn't pay much attention to it.

So we went on to bench press and I was still pushing more weight than him.

And finally we were on squats and I was pushing more weight than him.

He's always been stronger than me ever since me and him started working out together and now I'm finally stronger than him.

Woot.

congrats, my dad still have stronger forearms then me (I can't beat him at arm wrestling) but I outlift him every where else :-D

arm wrestling is 95% technique heh... Least of all does it use forearms

lots of old guys can have the fattest physique but their arms are always huge...

my dad got a huge gut but crazy arms...

i can outlift my dad in any single exercise....but he has functional strength...i mean he can carry 150 lbs. of sand on his shoulder for long ass distance while i can only go 50-75

wow wish i was stronger than my dad but that will never happen my dad i 6'2 and 250lbs and his 6 pack is some what visable and his arms scare me lol i know he is not the biggest but to me he is i am only 5'9. But that is a great accomplishment can't wait till i am stronger than my dad.

Yeah my dad does all the light weight for 30 reps on the machines, he's a big guy but, i usually do more than him

eh i bench more than my dad has but ill never beat him (well at least prob not) in squating he can squat 500 and he has massive forearms

Dont let your dad fool you. You may outlift him but he has old man strength... You know the strength that gives him the power to own you at arm wrestling... Thats the old man strength Im talking about

experience lol. years of experience. Thats why a lot of our grandparents have HUGE forearms. Its from all that factory work

Yea but a lot of it is fat too and big bones...haha, I have skinny bones even if my forearms are jacked they won't appear that way unless I flex.
