Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | im starting to work out again, before i wasnt too serious, but i want to find out a good routine. right now im 20 and weigh 122lbs and im a really hard gainer. im starting to eat more smaller meals throughout the day, but still have to get used to this. i have a supplement for mass gain but i would get stomach cramps and loose stools :p and i work so that kinda of gets in the way for the 6 meals a day, but im trying to figure out how to make it work. but what i really need is a good routine. also i did some workout last night and wanted to know what kind of cardio should i do to help relax my muscles and the soreness. |

Isn't it time you came over to the big people's side of the board? At 20 your not a teen anymore..lol. Anyway you can have the best routine in the world and you'll never gain a pound if your not eating right. It's like having the fastest car in the world but no gas for the tank. West Side for Skinny Bastards is a great one for hard gainers and the soreness can be reduced by proper post workout stretching, large dose of Vitamin C right after and soak in a hot bath with epsom salts. Mild cardio will also help loosen you up. | |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 128 | As for the 6 meals a day... they don't all have to be full fledged meals, even though that would be optimal. Life gets in the way and people are usually on schedules without a lot of free time. If you have a shaker cup (like this) then you can store some whey protein in there, and when you need a snack to hold you over, just put some water inside, shake it up, and have some peanuts and a piece of fruit with it. It's a simple meal and only takes a couple minutes to get down, yet it still gives you calories and nutrients to hold you over until you can get in a nice solid meal. I can relate to the chore of gaining weight with a fast metabolism... I still battle it every day. How tall are you? For the recovery aspect... DF had good suggestions, also, check out this thread http://www.ironmass.com/general-disc...f-massage.html One thing about the shaker cups... I haven't tried out the one I linked so I can't say anything about it, but if you decide to go into a store and buy one, ask the workers if it's a leaky cup. Leaky cups suck! |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | im 5'9 and my weight stays the same no matter what, but when i gain its like 5 pounds in a 24 hour period. i also checked out the foam rollers and that looks pretty efficient. i also wanted to know, does the whey protein come in different calorie size/serving. is it something to do pre or/and post workout? |
