Recipes: 2 Rep Power: 96 | Over training What causes over training...? The more volume that is in your workout routine, the more you have to worry about over training. Say you do 20 sets at a high intensity and weight do that 6 times a week with 1 rest day, you would expect over training plain and simple. Not getting enough rest is main part of what causes it too, they train for a few hard days straight with little rest days and expect to be fine. Also working the same muscle group multiple times a week will really put too much stress on your body causing over training. What are the symptoms...? • depression • unusual soreness or stiffness the day after training • loss of appetite or loss of weight • inability to complete normal training sessions • increased anxiety • sleep disturbances • an increase of 8 to 10 heart beats per minute at rest • swollen lymph nodes • upper respiratory infections • constipation or diarrhea To simply avoid overtraining, don't do high set, high intenisty, low rest workouts. Very simple, if your wanting to get big then you will not overtrain, if you think more training is better...sometimes, but in most of all cases you will be leading yourself straight into overtraining. So watch what your doing and be safe. |
