Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 9 | I wasn't sure what to type really or if I should even write this. I remember when I was younger I sometimes had a hard time of forcing myself to do my sets. I know many people go through tough times like these where they are not seeing gains at all and there physique is changing very little. It makes it seem like all the hard work you put in are for nothing. I remember over the summer I saw the most motivating thing I ever saw in my life, well thing that is lifting related. I was maxing out on bench and was trying to set a new personal best. 2 guys came into the gym obviosly brothers, one was in a wheel chair and the other one was in perfect health. The older upright brother began to clean and press while his younger brother in front of him was using a straight bar and pressing at the same time as his brother. I don't know what it was about this but it motivated me. I just think about that time and get pumped up, I think I need to make my body the best it can be. Way...way too many people take there bodys for granted and abuse themselves. It frustrates me to see people in bad health that still have a chance to do something about. What kind of stuff do you guys think of or do to get motivated? |

| Banned | I never knew why I started lifting, seriously don't.I did workout when I was 12 and 13 nothing seriously though,I just did it because my freind 2 years older than me did,so I did. Then last year I was online and something just made me type bodybuilding into google, and I came across bb.com,and thankfully later expanding my horizions. As far as motivation:I still have no idea what drives me,or why I workout.I just do.I guess I've always wanted to be big. My:mom, dad, and grandma are all obese, and I have their genes (which sucks as far as fat),and I've just always never wanted to be like that.Maybe its genes, wanting to be big,but I never knew, and still don't.As far as getting motivated to workout I still can't get "motivated" I just do it,but when I start lifting I love it.I dunno.......... |

| IMPC Contestant | I think about doing a lat spread and looking like ronnie. I think about walking down the street and having a little kid tug on his mom's shirt and say something completely innocent but great like "Mommy, that's the biggest man I've ever seen!!". I think about improving myself, and watching myself grow. I think about surpassing what I had thought were limits, and breaking personal records.
