first off, start lifting again. Eat clean if you aren't already, and if after 2 months your not moving, MAYBE I would suggest a thermogenic, and definitely not Hydroxycut

Default If would agree.

I would be reluctant to suggest that you rely on something like that. I have struggled for several years trying to cut down to the weight I desired. What finally worked for me is I made a commitment to enter a bodybuilding contest and I began to track everything I ate and recorded fat, carbs, sugar, fat and protein. I gradually cut calories in each of my six different meals per day until I got down to around the recommended 500 calories per day under my maintanance level. I have gradually increased my cardio over time and after 17 1/2 weeks I have cut down from 208 to 173.5. It has been gradual, but consistent.

I truly believe the two keys were (1) making a specific decision and commitment to change and (2) spending the added time to record everything I ate.

well the only reason i stopped was because my gym pass expired and i had to wait a little bit to get it renewed seeing im jobless and had to wait on the parents lol but i dont truely understand hydroxicut or other thermogenics (Sp) so why dont u guys fill me in if you could i read up on some things but nothing really sunk in... only supps i use is 100% whey protein and Creatine my diet when im actually weight training is limited.. i eat less and since im jobless and dont pick out my food i cut portions.. but the last 2 months ive been pigging out n such and im grounded atm so im kinda anxious now that i have my gym pass back to go down n hit the weights

basically a thermogenic is something that raises your body temperature, and basically a higher body temperature burns more calories. Also they include stimulants like caffiene, ephedra etc... which help with burning fat as well. Research it, I'm sure you have some spare time.

not needed. it can be done naturally, it's just going to take some hard work. Clean it up and start with the protein+cardio in the AM.

Tommy your frustration is something that most people share. There are three basic body types: endomorphs, mesomorphs, and ectomorphs. Some people have a really hard time gaining muscle, but are super lean; others can put on muscle like crazy but tend to gain fat too.

Post your current weight training routine, cardio, and diet...we'll be able to critique them and hopefully help you get to where you want to be.

Weight training... - im starting this monday a new one befor id mostly just do a full body workout then me med/fully sore.... im finding that making me more lazy to go to the gym.....
Im Starting monday
Monday - Chest/Tris
Tuesday - Back/Bi's
Wesnesday - Legs
Thursday - Shoulders
Friday - Off

Im takin friday off because if one of my buddys pull me out of the gym im screwed....

My cardio does not exist... i mean i used to bike ride when id hit the gym but i have plantars facilitis and it makes it tough for me to run im trying to stay away from running untill its fixed....

My deit is simple.... Anything... I mean my family isnt very wealthy and i currently can not stand the hours of a job type i can get right now... so im out of luck and have to eat what i can get... Although i am cutting down on the food... I mean i have no problem with being big... its the problem that i dont like the belly... The arms.... Id rather be toned and heavy then fat n heavy.. I eat deer and such but cut the fat off.. i eat pasta maybe once a week,

I have no problem with gaining muscle, i do have problems losing weight i mean the fat will go.. but because i gain muscle more than i lose the weight it tends to slightly go up than down...

And Plantar facilitis is a inflammation in the foot practically the plantar facilis, making it painful and hard to stand and running or jogging makes it come faster,

I hope i answered what you are looking for, I do not try n be picky with what i eat because what some of you would consider wrong its really the only thing i eat..

I understand where you're coming from with the diet thing. If you are given an option, try to eat lots of lean meats like chicken, steak, etc. and obviously try to avoid deep fried stuff. My folks used to put the same kind of typical American fare in front of me and I had to suffer through it too.

As for your plantar's...I had that back in high school; it was a pain in my ass man, what a hassle. I used to just do the recumbent bike when I had problems with mine. If you get on a bike and do some high-intensity intervals I think you can start dropping off some fat. Here's what I like to do.

2 minutes: warmup, just cruise to get your blood going to your legs
2:00-2:45 - continue cruising and getting ready for your first interval
2:45-3:15 - crank up the level setting on the bike so you gotta push hard to keep going. The idea here is to maximize your output for the 30 seconds, so pedal as fast as you can with that level up high.
3:15-4:00 - put the level setting back down and cruise
4:00-4:30 - crank it up again

Keep doing this until you hit 17 minutes total; that'll put you at 15 minutes of intervals, which is a good place to start. I prefer interval training over steady-state cardio for a couple reasons. First, you spend less time on the bike. When you're doing this right after your weight training, this is important. You need to get in, get out, and go have your protein shake. Second, intervals cause your basal metabolic rate to increase which means that the amount of calories your body burns throughout the day will be increased. This translates to an increased caloric deficit, and in turn, weight loss.

HIIT cardio is the ONLY cardio.

Tommy, just like you I'm an endo, though I'm sure not as tall as you are, I have the same thing. Put on muscle? No problem! Take some fat off? aww shit! Even if you can't eat 100% clean or so, try and eat as much meats as you can. Grab a fitday.com account and log what you eat daily. Try and keep your protien @ ~50% of your total calories. Try and keep the carbs down a bit. I'm currently working on cutting down, and the first thing I cut, is carbs. Keep the carbs kinda low (20% roughly) and the protien and fat higher and do the HIIT cardio on the bike.

Also, set a goal in the gym. That might help keep you motivated. Something like "by this time I want to do X number of reps for X number of sets on X exercise."

good luck, and godspeed!

*note, all my dieting info came from reading on this board, t-nation.com, and from EME's calculator and Madman*
