Default how much does a typical bar weigh?

the reason i ask is because i bench like 80 pounds, and that just doesn't seem like enough... maybe i'm just really, really weak, but it just doesn't seem right...

Olympic bars are generally 45 lbs.

i dunno if it's an olympic bar... could you give me a length/ diameter? that would help a lot...

Usually something like 2.2 metres long, 20-25 mm diameter.

if youre from the us that turns out to be about 7 feet 1.5 inches thick i think

wow, this forum has more features than bodybuilding.com lol. my "big 3" are bench 165 x 1 squat 235 lbs x 1 and deadlift 255 x 1 (prob could do more

i don't know what my max is, because i don't have a spotter. i normally do 125x 8, which still isn't much, but my max would be higher than 125. it's cool you can bench that much when you're 14 or 15.

I'm glad we have a board where people are actually honest about their lifts.

Bench: 230
Squat: 385
Deadlift: 365

My chest is lagging in strength I know, but it looks good

nah a 230 bench is very good, i know its the hardest of the big 3 to go up in weight, and most people on this board know that benching isnt a very good exercise so its not as important
