Default Decrease bodyfat while bulking?

I've heard that this is very, very hard, but I was just wondering how someone would go about doing this. Is it just luck, or is there actually something to it? thanks.

Decreasing bodyfat while bulking is like an oxymoron. The point of bulking is to increase bodyfat slightly to ensure the most muscle gained.

Lowering the percentage of Body Fat during a bulking phase is extremly difficult.

There are a number of factors that would make this an almost impossible task:-

Diet
Training Routine
Cardio
Sleep
.........

All these factors must be taken into consideration and adapted to your physical capability and genetics.

Agreed. Stop worrying about being cut when you have no muscle, bulk up a shit load then cut and look wonderful.

I'm giving the zigzag diet ago as of recent. I hate putting on so much fat after bulking, even when I eat clean. I realise it will be slower, but then again I seem to put on weight with relative ease, even if I don't eat that much, so it won't bother me too much.

good reply! :nosthumbs however, i wouldnt assume your going to gain slowly. i have tried this and I was pleased.

i also HIGLY recommend reading and/or taking a look at the UD2.0 - The Ultimate Diet 2.0 - by Lyle McDonald - www.bodyrecomposition.com

He's a genius. I have lots of experience in this area. Its depends on the person but certain techniques can work for anyone. I am now reading - The flexible dieting by Lyle. PM me if you need more details....

To most it may be an oxymoron, however Columbo increased muscle mass weeks before competiton while cutting out fat. It is possible, however extremly hard without great genetics. Most of us would just be wasteing our time if we tried it since it requires not only extreme determination but insane genetics as well. Your best bet is to do a strict clean bulk if your looking to keep your bf relatively low.

Dexter jackson is another pro who actually gains weight the week before competition. So he is gaining mass by lowering bf. It is extremely hard to do without the use of illegal substances.

You're right. Unless of course you drop the term "bulking." Putting on mass without increasing bodyfat is a good way to go. Increasing mass while lowering bodyfat...well that's possible... but not easy.

Although great results have been reported bulking on UD2.0, i personally feel its not worth the difficulty. What i do is make sunday a no carb day. This is basically a crappy version of carb cycling. Gonna make you much better than if you just bulked every day. i choose sunday cause thats the longest time period since i been working out- less microtrauma to heal
