Unhappy Chest 911..!!

OK , Steven Nouel, Age-Turning 18 the 15th of september... Height-5-11
I've been working out for like 3 months now. Tryed bench pressing like 3 days ago.. i know i've been lost all this time. So the problem is that i shake a lottttttttttt. and i can do my reps in each set but then i shake a lot from beginning to end in every rep. they told me that it is because of my lactic acid but i wanted to know, what to do about this because, i want to add weight in my BP since it currently sucks... im not even gonna say how much i bench press cuz if i say 30+bar id be liying.. so please give me any advice, thanks in advance!! :fishing:

Don't worry about the shaking. Your muscles just aren't used to it, and with time the shaking will go away. Don't be focused on training too heavy, just make sure your form is good first then you can start adding weight.

There are several major muscle groups in the body, which are what we tend to focus on when we think about weight training, but there is a lot more going on behind the scenes. Your body has many, many smaller muscles that are involved in one way or another contribute to the movements your body makes, often referred to with the blanket term 'stabilizer muscles'. Unlike machines, when you work with free weights, you have to balance the weight all by yourself, and allowing all of those smaller muscles to get stronger will help you stabilize the weight much better. You're only as strong as your weakest link...

Don't worry about just throwing lots of weight on the bar. Everybody starts somewhere and you should be thinking in the long term here. I've only been at it for a few years and I know that I'm quite new to the game when you look at the big picture. Don't sweat it, you're in the gym for you, not to out-bench the guy next to you. Results will come, just stay consistent and do your best to stay injury free. Keep reading up on this site and asking questions, you'll learn a lot.... I know I am.

Yea pretty much what they said, keep your feet flat on the ground and don't move your body, just bring the weight down and push back up and practice that.

I used to shake, but two things really helped:

1.) Setting up and digging my shoulders into the bench and creating a very solid base.

2.) Losing my ego and using weights I can fully control.

Those really stopped the shaking and when I added more weight, I had become used to it, and I didn't shake anymore.

Another thing I wanted to add was make sure you're benching up and down and not at an angle.

-Remove it off the rack
-Get it over your nipple line while your elbows are still locked out
-Then go down
-Then go straight up
-the last rep should go straight up, and then back into the rack

shaking is just your stabilizers giving out. It happens a lot with dumbbells for most people. When Im using dumbbells and Im pushing those last few extra reps Ill shake a bit. No big deal, just takes time for them to develop. Like said above, getting a firm stance/ positioning for the lift will help

Also man you should definately make a workout log and keep track of reps/sets/type of reps (forced, negative etc) and workouts...you're more than likely not doing it all right, so we can help you, we're not here to make fun of your lifts to make ourselves feel better, we're always here to help with your routines and such. Just post what you do and we'll tell you what to and not to do.

after 3 months , i would be pretty sure your muscles would be able to handle wieghts but thats my opinion , but i agree with ikiaka and dont focus on wieghts . More reps!!! , then go for more weights...
