Default Anyone hooked on chili?

I just tried chili for the first time last night, and now I'm hooked on it. I have eating an entire half of a gallon of it in two meals. I read the nutrition label on the can, and it said it has 27g of carbs and 7g of fiber in 1/2 a cup!!! I feel like a new man when I get off that toilet with all that fiber. Is anyone else hooked on it?

For ANY meal that my mom says "What do you want to eat?" (I usually cook my own food) my reply is almost ALWAYS "A huge bowl of chili". I get the biggest bowl we have in our house and overflow it with 95% lean meat and chili beans with tons of chili powder. I try to not use much tomato sauce, usually only 1/2 can. It's SOOOOOO good.

MOP, home made chili is like 10x healthier with literally twice as much fiber and protein. Chili is AMAZING (home made) in terms of it's nutritional properites! Lean meat, kidney beans!!!!!!!!!! BAM! I usually add a bag of mixed veggies in then serve it over brown rice.

1 lb lean ground beef or turkey (I use turkey), brown it in a pan
Cut up a red pepper, mince a garlic clove, and dice an onion, saute them in a tbsp of olive oil
Add the above to:
1 can of crushed tomatoes (32 oz)
1 can of red kidney beans (16 oz)
Add cumin and chili powder to taste (start with 1 tbsp chili powder and 1 tsp cumin, bump it up from there if you like it spicey)

Let it all simmer for an hour or so... enjoy.
Easy to make, and incredibly tasty and clean... the perfect food.

last sunday i made a batch of it, you know from a package, add your own beef and beans (if you want) was supposed to be spicey if you added all the spice package. so i did,i like spicey food. Well i was doing somethiong else in the kitchen and i here this strange noise come from my wife so i turn around and here she had tried to add some crushed red pepper but little did she know that the screne was off the top and she ended up dumping the whole container of it in.We scooped out as much as we could but still...... holy crap is it HOT.
Have a couple of bites and then some milk wow. it is good though.

Chili is gnarly, I love it. I've read somewhere that it putting a cinnamon stick in the chili while it simmers can really spice it up; never tried it though

I love chili.

One thing I learned from Dante is how to use soups wisely. Get some cambell's minestrone and add a lot of beef to it and it is a top notch meal. Plus it's cheap.

I just finished off 8servings of elk chili. My wife was thrilled when I was done cause that much fiber was hell on my system! I figured out why I don't use beans as a source of carbs on a regular basis.
