Default My milestones.

I just benched 315 a few months ago. I am most proud of that because I just turned 35 and while many of my old friends are getting old and lazy I am getting stronger and in better shape.

I don't remember exactly when I squatted or did deadlift with 315. It has been within the last several years though because I did not do them much when I was younger. I am probably around 450 on the squat and 400 on the deadlift. We do a lot of higher reps with those now. Last week I went 335 for 20 on squats (slightly above parrallel).

I don't get too cocky about anything though because I train with a natural powerlifter who has benched 425, squatted 725 and has a 725 deadlift.

I was happy to just be in the 300's but when I hit 405 on the dead I was just shocked because I didn't believe it. I felt like I had moved a mountain. I bet when I hit 500 I will feel like I moved the planet.

I remember first squatting 3 plates, was a really good day for me

I felt it was like a major milestone for me, and can remember the day quite detailed

Mid-June 2003, T'was a Sunday morning, 12 noon the time.. met up with my other mad sunday squatters, and went to business as usual

What really took me, more than anything was the sheer pressure on your traps as you unrack the weight (left behind a huge red indentation where the bar was)

But just powered through it for 8 reps, and just had a huge smile on my face after I had done it =)

Deadlifted 3 plates, didn't have quite the same effect for me & haven't reached 3 plates on bench yet.. so i await the day I can tell my story
