What Keeps You Interested?

A survey we're conducting here at IronMass to see what keeps you interested, or uninsterested in the site.

Regular posters, and people who hardly ever visit ... I encourage EVERYONE to participate in this!

So, it's not going to be formal ... not a questionare, I think that's just a waste of time. Be honest, be brutal, sugar coat it -- dosen't matter to me! Just tell what you truly think of IronMass, why you come here or why you don't. Pretty simple, I'm going to use responses to get the ball rolling down the hill and make this site the best I can to keep members happy, interested, ambitious to post, and most of all ... make sure your stay on IronMass is the best it can be.

So help me out on your part here, it'll make your life easier!

Okay, since FnF asked me to take a look at this thread, I'll give it my $0.02.

What I like:
1. No "Server is busy" messages
2. The Supplement Sponsors Sections divided up like it is.
3. Not a lof of BS to weed thru to get answers

What I don't like:

I can't really say I dislike anything on the Site. It's more a matter of knowing a lot of people at the other Sites and having to go back and forth. I do like the drama at the other Site (bb) at times, I know I'm kinda sick like that

There's a lof of knowledgeable and helpful people here which is great. If I can think of anything to improved the site, I'll let you know. Keep up the good work!

OK, here goes........... At first I admit it seemed boring and I didnt come here much. But after doing a introduction thread and getting such a warm welcome I felt I had been too harsh. So I posted a few questions here and there and to my suprise I received some very educated answers with complete explanations, and this encouraged me to ask even more questions, and to read others posts to search for information that may effect me and my goals. I dont think anyone here treats people with disrespect like on BB.com, and that my friend is very important to me as I dont know the answer thats why I ask questions, the worst thing to deal with is someone harassing you.

AND i come for support of others who have already mastered what im trying to achieve, as I feel they have earned my respect.

As far as ranking, There will always be many people who are intimidated by ranking, they will fear others will not respond to them because maybe they are shy and just like to read and not post. After anyone spends some time here its pretty obvious who the really helpful people are.

I will continue to come here as long as I can learn something that will ultimatley help me achieve my goal, If I wanna goof off Ill go to BB.com

I also really like the fact that there are people here that compete and are pro's.

I feel safe here. I know that if someone harasses me they will be banned and not just because I'm a mod. On other *cough* sites, there are tons of times where people e-stalk me and say some VERY mean things to me.... I know I won't have to deal with that here. I have very little support in my life, the e-support bridges the gap. I barely even talk to anyone at my gym after almost 2 years!!!

Actually I just like the people here, and the fact that we have so many mods vs posters that there's very little tom foolery that goes on.

The only thing I dislike about the site is that the people tend to be a little cliqueish. But that is beyond IM's control.

Yeah, so all in all, I personally like the site as it is.

Edit: Oh yeah, we have some of the best posters in the e-fitness circle. If I want help or info, this has become my first stop.

I know I am not here as much as the "other" site. But I do really like it here. Less BS with the board reps and flame wars here too. Level of maturity is higher!

The overall level of maturity and helpfulness of the members on this site. Everyone is very supportive and there are many very knowledgable people here who are more than willing to share their wealth of information. This is more than enough motiviation to keep me coming back to the site to read and post. I have learned a lot here

I like everything about the site to tell you the truth. This place is a like a vacation compared to alot of boards.

I just wish you could keep skelooth and DF away from me b/c they keep trying to sneak up BEHIND me for some reason...

Ok. i like how we keep the sarcastic comments and unhelpful replies to a minimum. that is my main reason why i like this site ALOT better than bb.com. this site also has a lot of knowledgeable people that are willing to help. and we respect each other.

however id like to see more action on the boards and quicker responses. but thats only because we are not as popular, but that time will soon come

For everyone who loves the site.. which I do too... I dont post anywhere else now.. give us some ideas on how to keep new comers interested in coming back every day to see what it going on..

I also have to agree with Skel on what he said.. this is my safe place.. I also dont have alot of support off line except for hubby.. and the support and friendships I have gained on this site.. make it easier.. I also really enjoy reading everyone's post.. you can always find something to make you smile if you are having a bad day...
