Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 71 | I'm starting to get back interested in bodybuilding after a much long maybe needed break for about half a year or more since lifting consistantly. I need help getting back on track with my workouts. i need help making a low/medium volume routine done about 4 times or less a week. I've been reading articles alot lately mostly at iron addicts site. i'm 16 5'11 around 180 pounds --or higher-- with a decent amount of fat. I want to have GPP in my routine also. diet i know what I have to do for that. i'm good on sleeping regularly and basic supplements. I just need a kickstart with helping my routine. I started lifting 2 years or so ago. 1 year was pretty consistant usually doing a routine for 3 months taking a break a week then going for another 2 months or so. the second year wasn't even enough to count. I slacked off pretty much the whole year lifting for a couple weeks time then stopping then a month later starting doing another few weeks or so. i'm not interested in premade routines like HST or Rippetoe's, i always thought it was a stupid concept trying to create a routine for a bunch of people. I like custom routines personally. Hope i'm not too much of a 'nag' but I wanna hit this iron as hard as i ****ing can along with eating like a behemoth and sleeping like a 21 year old college student with a hangover (you get the point i hope) |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 71 | sorry if I came across as an ass, thats not exactly what I meant to say. I just much rather do a custom routine then a premade one. I've never liked doing what was the most happenin' routine on the board/ mags, which right now is Rippetoe's. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 52 | Everyone has their own opinion... but what it comes down to is what works for you. Some magical routine isnt going to bulk you to no end... and making a custom workout is hard.. there are alot of factors. You cant just pick workouts out of thin air and put them all together hoping they are gunna work, your not creating frankenstien here where random shit from everywhere is gunna work. The routine that madman has posted up has worked for boatloads of people, so why not give it a try? What have you really got to lose?

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 71 | I gave rippetoe's a try for a couple weeks, I didn't really like it. That's why i asked people not to reccomend it. i was hoping between me and someone else we could come up with something together. |

Ezy, what did you find objectionable about Rippetoe's beginner's program? It uses the core lifts that every program should have in it and you only tried it for a couple of weeks so you didn't have a chance to see any gains or lack of gains.

| IronMass Donator | When folks ask me what is a good plan to start with, I usually point them at Max-OT. If for no other reason, it is very cut and dry 'do this on this day, do this on this day' and it explains everything as it goes along. |
