1. Squating heavy developes a level of intensity that is hard to manage with any other excercise. When you develop enough intensity to squat heavy you will have developed you mind. Training arms will be easy when you think of your brutal sqaut workouts

2. Squating releases some of the most growth hormone and testosteron wehn trained.

3. Squating envolved so many muscles and the arms are included. your arms are up on the bar holding it in place.

Now all this is meant to say that you can just squat and not train arms. This is not the point.

I dont believe just squatting is goin to make everything grow b/c im a big believer in direct training. I do believe it makes everything grow alot easier b/c of the reasons antihero mentioned.

ok that makes sense, i understand all of that, but peopel are directing SQUATS alone to these gains, and i dont understand it. some guy was like i need a big chest, some other dood was like do squats....

1. Squating heavy developes a level of intensity that is hard to manage with any other excercise. When you develop enough intensity to squat heavy you will have developed you mind. Training arms will be easy when you think of your brutal sqaut workouts this is a good point, but entirely different than the topic, mental game is everyhting with weights its my fault i didnt word it very well

2. Squating releases some of the most growth hormone and testosteron wehn trained.

3. Squating envolved so many muscles and the arms are included. your arms are up on the bar holding it in place. [b] but this alone wont give you the gains that you would obtain for expame hitting your biceps :P [b]

now is doing leg press the same, its essentialls same motion, i mean for hte releasing of hte gh

CNS strength is direct and is not another topic in my opinion, it's not just mental game. I'm pretty sure antihero meant increasing Central Nervous System output by "developing the mind", if not, it is what I mean here. Developing the mind isn't just about 'learning to be a tougher dude'.

If the mind is a whole different topic, then so is the endocrine system, so is the digestive system (also effected by squats with increased appetite from hormones).

You don't develope core power/stability for maintaing form in other exercises with the leg press. You may get hormonal activity, but I don't think it would be near as much.
