Default Promoting IronMass Forums

basically i was over at bb.com forums and i saw a section about designing their ads or something...

anyway it got me thinking, i know IronMass isn't really a company (i think its not, if it is, tell me than flame me lol) but its still a forum, which has potential for gaining more members by the day. but i don't think the image or 'face' of ironmass is really out there.

the way i brought to this forum was by someone (dw mate, i know who u r lol) and it made it out to be a big secret!

anyway, the point of this thread is to ask the mods/admins, is there anyway us regular members can help promote and get ironmass out there and help increase members?

Easy ways for members to promote their forum:

- Have the admin produce a half page "flyer" that can be downloaded, printed out, and photocopied by any member. It should have the domain name in large, bold print and a few reasons to visit. The members can drop the flyers at their local gym or supplement store.

- Same with decals. A logo that is easier to recognize at small sizes is best.

- If you have a website, link here with the word "bodybuilding" in the anchor text.

- Tell your friends, online and offline.

- Create an interesting online tool or perhaps a very unique bodybuilding video that can be hosted here.

Funny you should mention that. We already have one ready to print!

Yes it would but you have to remember BB.com has a massive store to fund all these endevours and we don't. We do have great sponsership here but it will be sometime before we are able to compete with BB.com on all levels. You have to remember that we aren't even a year old yet and BB.com has been around for over 6. It takes time to build up a site.

We have a really small forum too, only opened it up about two weeks ago, but I've put the addy in my email sig...I'll add ironmass to that.

I don't actually know any bbers who I could recommend this site to...I know it's still quite quiet in comparison to bb.com, but it'll get there...the atmosphere (if you can call it that) is so much more relaxed.

Has anyone thought of going to those online directories and adding ironmass.com to them? It's what we've been doing with ours, and it's slowly working. You only get out of it what you put into it, and I spend about ten minutes a day just filling out the URL to it...it could help, at least...

Dammit, I haven't got a t-shirt yet...I knew there was something I was supposed to be doing...

I can always ask Bigfoot to come up with a list of affiliate sites, if you like...as in we don't have one yet, but I like ironmass and it's something we're considering anyway. :crazy1: Don't mind me, I'm away with the fairies today...not quite with it.

No worries we don't filter sites like some other places. We're not scared of competiton As far as adding us as an affiliate I'm sure the boss would like it. I have no say in those matters I just work for the man.

Personally I like it that the site is not as big as BB.com. THe members here are of quality without all the newbie and inmature questions. Sad thing is company reps over there get a hard on for rep points which mean nothing lol
