POWER HOOKS--Who has them? Who likes them?

Two days ago I stepped into my weight equpiment store near my house, and the owner..great friend of mine...introduced these "new" power hooks that can change the way you workout and improve your overall workouts with dumbbells.

When I saw them, and their price I wasn't too sure I would be purshasing them at all. But after hearing him out and learning the huge improvemnts it's capable of, I returned to his store and I am hours away from using these power hooks on my chest workout.

I only wanted to see any feedback from you guys...not sure how long ago they came out or if they've become popular at all.

Nothing new bro.

Power hooks should be a staple at any gym whether it's home or a local gym. They especially good for people without spotters.

I have been in many many gyms and never before seen these hooks, that's a shame...the owner said he was at a convention and loaded up on these hooks.

IMO I think they're great...I workout at home and you can't imagine the amount of benefit I will be getting from these.

A lot of gyms don't carry them like a few other pieces of great equipment, only thing to do is contact your gym owner and encourage him to order some for the gym.

Seems to be causing some attention...should get some commission

I finished my chest workout and it went great, I lasted longer since now I don't waste time and energy having to pick up, kick up and drop the weights after every set. These are a staple in my training! :nosthumbs

I got a pair last summer and love them. I always hated having to clean the dumbbells up before every set. They're definitely worth the cash

I got some of these just a couple of weeks ago and they are great :nosthumbs ! I need them a lot right now, since my spotter just got injured

No way I would pay that much for something that can be made pretty easily,

I could go to my loyal steel company, and get tempered steel rods that size, crack out the torch, and make myself a pair of those for $5 at the most....

A local home welder is no different than someone hired for $5 an hour to make them things bro.

Sure it is... The steel I would use is a lot better than the steel they are using. they are not complicated at all to make...

What grade of steel would you use?
I own a small fab shop and I know plenty of engineers and metalurgists, but no one will put their balls on the chopping block and nominate a grade.
I was thinking of going for a spring steel, but then I need to get it quench and tempered.
I dont want anything breaking on me
