Question Possible shoulder injury

I think theres something wrong with my left shoulder it could be rotator cuff im not sure. Ill describe as best as i can.

This has been happening for the last week now and its not everyday either but its happened again tonight.
When i move my arm backwards it hurts my shoulder and when i do the side laterial movement it also hurts. but when i move my shoulder forward like a front laterial raise it doesnt hurt at all. Its not my muscles that are hurting its my actual shoulder.

It usually starts to hurt in the evening, after i wake up my shoulder is always fine.

Im a bit worried here i dont want to take time off.

Help will be much appreciated, Thanks

Ouch man, I know what you mean by the way you describe it but I've got no answers for you.

If you want some of the pain to go away, I'd reccomend getting something called "Bio-Freeze". It's in America, not sure about England.

Not sure what it does, but when I pulled my trap/rhomboid off my 7th vertibre that sucker HURT. Put some of that on there and it was a real icey feeling, it would get deep down and really helped to dull the pain to the point it was bearable.

Hope it starts feeling better.

Its my recomendation that you treat this as a seriouse injury until you know for sure. No lifting.

Then, keep in mind that sometimes things that don't feel like they are muscular are really still caused by muslces that wont relax. The shoulder is filled with many tendons and ligiments that can be tugged on and pulled tight from muslces that arent even on the shoulder. The shoulder is a huge intersection where pain can be felt from problems in the chest, lats, arms, neck..... You can't tell what the problem in your shoulder is just because of how it feels.

A GOOD chiropractor can show you what the problem is.

my 2 cents

Do you actually recall straining or injuring your shoulder?

Or was it a gradual onset thing??

Start doing all shoulder work palms facing out it feels odd at first but it rotates your shoulder / rc into a better possition. A trick I picked up from the cyro who also lifts.
