Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 4 | The single most important thing I"ve learned is how important diet is. When I first started lifting (the first 2 years), I took in my 3 meals a day and a protein shake or two. I read articles that talked about calorie intake and how important getting sufficient calories, fats, proteins, and other vitamins and minerals are when lifting. Since the evolution of my diet, I've seen more gains then ever and I eat whenever I don't feel stuffed. I'm young and can do this now without putting on too much fat (especially if I eat clean which a lot of the time I'm not since I prettty much try to bulk all year round) but I know in the future I will have to change my diet routine to a more clean diet as my metabolism tells me to do so. Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 74 | Squats = Growth. People that complain about small forearms should stop using wraps so much. Learning to listen to your body takes time, but is one of the most valuable things I've learned to do in bodybuilding. Muscle magazines are generally worthless, and full of bad information. Thank you Joe Weider. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 7 | Oats are good. Calories make you grow. Trying to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time is stupid. 1-2g Protein per Pound. Squats/deadlifts are good. 8 Hours of sleep is important. Training 2 hours everday will not make you grow. Water is good. Supplements aren't everything, but muti's are nice. Nutrition and Rest are underated. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 15 | 1. Training/lifting technique is a more complex game than dieters give credit to it, not only that, but that game can yeild quit impressive results. The impression that I get is that most lifters put the ceiling for lifting technique quite low by declaring proper bar/body movement angles , 'mind muscle connection', and 'controled' rep speed to be 'perfect form'. If a person puts his/her focus inside the body and studies the more sutble movements, a whole new 'technique game' level can be realized. 2. Diet, however, when applied to exercise (reguardless of technique level) is what will grow muslce or loose fat. The exercises and exercise technique expertise level can make diet more efficient for muslce growth/fat loss, but diet is the linking component that makes exercise work for tissue development. 3. The mind is a very difficult potential to tapp into. I haven't experienced the potential of the mind for myself either, but I think many lifters don't tapp into the mind's potential because they don't connect the mind and the body at a functional level for lifting. Surely the potential of the spirit can be tapped into for lifting if only the mind and body are one whole working unit. And so the above is not a lesson learned yet, but the lesson is that striving towards goals like the above can achieve interesting results. Start by doing what is possible now, then continue until the impossible becomes possible. Perhaps one day the spirit will be my strength, if I have learned that lesson I just stated. 4. When all that crap frustrates me too much, a good remedy is to remember the fun side of lifting heavy things, and remember how lucky I am to be blessed by God with this body, this mind, access to all the food I need, and a warm bed to sleep in. I'm glad I am not too poor, too disabled or too mentaly handicapped to be able to lift. 5. Me love you long time. ![]()
