Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 214 | Well, I'm currently in Chicago and have been completely brainwashed by the fanatical following that the Bears enjoy. I like the Bears chances, in spite of what the bookies think. As for my plans, I'll be on an airplane between Chicago and Pittsburgh during the entire first half. Hopefully I can get to my hotel quickly and not miss the whole damn game. Damned corporate travel agent...

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 178 | It is tough to say who will win. I guess it depends which teams show up. If Grossman has another game with a 3 QB rating it is going to be a long night for the Bears... If you go by history then the bears are an extreem favorite. do to their strength of victory stats, better defensive stats etc. I read an article on it in the paper and it was dating way back. the team that allowed the least regular season points almost always wins the superbowl. there were like 5 other important stats that the bears were clear winners in that in the past the team with the better stats in the catagory won the championship... But I think a couple things that you have to take into account is that the Bears achieved these stats against by far the weakest schedule in the NFL. I think their strength of schedule ended up being like 4.30 which anyone familiar with the system knows is pathetic.. The Colts acieved their stats against one of the harder schedules. Another thing to take into account is that the Colts D has been able to stop the run in the post season thanks to Bob Sanders coming back from injury. In this post season the Colts have allowed almost 100 less passing yards per game, and even more suprising almost 20 less rushing yards per game. |
