My brother got a free Xbox 360

A large supermarket chain over here has a policy whereby if you're mistakenly overcharged for an item at the checkout, you can go back and claim a full refund and keep the item you purchased. Obviously this is meant for the odd Snickers bar, Doritos, Corn Flakes etc.

On smallprint on the shelves they say how long particular items will be at a certain price, as prices of larger goods fluctuate frequently. He knew this and exploited it by purchasing an Xbox on Monday when the prices we set to expire on Sunday and increase a little before Christmas. His gamble that the barcode hadn't been updated immediately paid off. After a brief argument with the manager he walked away with a free Xbox 360, but the manager wouldn't give him the free game that was supposed to come with it

We already have one at home, so this is the second.

hmm .. I wonder if I can return some speakers I picked up there? I paid $135 for them and now I see I was overcharged .. they now have them there for 20 bucks!!
