Default Lacking Motivation

Lately I've been lacking motivation to pump iron. I used to watch Pumping Iron when that happened before to get psyched but it didnt work this time.
Do any of you know of any good books (not like informative or texts books, but something more imformative like the story of a bodybuilder or something), movies, or anything really that helps to crank up the motivation?

The Saga of Darren Shan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

^^ That seriously motivates me for everything I need in life, it's an amazing series of books.

Probably hard to see WHY but it worked for me anyway.

Arnold's Education of a Bodybuilder or Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding(which you should own anyway ) both work for me.

Anything you take from the outside will be fleeting at best. Motivation and desire have to come from within.

I think one of the best "lifting" related books I have ever read was by Dave Tate, powerlifter. I think the book is In the Hole...you can find it on elitefts.com.

Default Re: Lacking Motivation

There isn't a book or video that can truly motivate you. These things can inspire you to work harder, but real motivation comes from within yourself. If I see an inspiring video, it will fuel me to work harder by giving me a better grasp of what is required to achieve my goals, but no video or story can be anything more than a temporary crutch when it comes to real motivation. Motivation comes down to wanting a goal badly enough that you do whatever it takes to achieve it, even at those times when you don't feel like doing the work.

Everyone wants a ripped bod... the real question is: how bad do you want it?
