He's the one who originally linked me to bb.com in august '04.... I started lifting because I had my heart crushed by a girl I loved, I was fatter than ever at 300lbs. I was getting so fat that I was getting a double chin and was losing my dick in a roll of fat. I was disgusting. I tried to date via personals and the girls I was meeting were so ugly.... I have this horrible fear of being lonely the rest of my life. I've moved around so much growing up that I have no close friends anymore. Hell, I have no friends, and when I first started lifting i was new here and knew NO ONE. I thought losing weight would help me get a girlfriend or make some friends. That's really the only thing I wanted. I went from 300lbs all the way down to 200lbs, I was probably 5lbs away from seein an ab or two... now I'm bulked up to 233lbs and built like a mac truck, probably 16.5% bodyfat. Why?? Why am I still doing it? I still have no friends, I still have no girls. I actually get less action now than I did when I was fat. Lifting weights has done NOTHING that I originally set out for it to do. So why am I still balls to the wall with it? I have this crazy dreams of getting on stage competing, being a mass monster.... but why? I'm still not happy. There's no excuse for me to not have women now, I'm in better shape than 80% of my peers, and I could pick up and toss 98% of them like a sack of shit. So maybe that's why I do it. Maybe I like the respect you get from being one big mother****er. After society shitting on me, spitting at me, and utterly rejecting me for being fat.... it feels like to have the power to walk up next to someone and make them feel small. Because that's how I felt... small, and insignificant... oxymoron eh? I keep lifting because I don't know any better. In the back of my mind i still think "Hey if I get abs I will get a girlfriend". Reality and experience dictate it's a pipe dream.... but that's the subconcious drive that keeps me on the brink of insanity. I've got some serious issues and probably need to talk to a therapist.....

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 154 | I'm not, i'm still living the lie :yes: It wasn't bad enough I was feeling down the other night, but then my friend lays into me "Bro, don't get mad BUT...." lol and tells me how it is with my constant obsession with weight lifting and how it will never be good enough for me and how I'm worse than an anorexic, and how my social problems are my own fault... The problem is he made some good points :rock2:

Now I lift to stay clean. After I got away from drugs and alcohol from high school, I started making killer gains. Bodybuilding is my biggest motivation to live a clean healthy life. |
