Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 158 | I got really creative this semester ![]() I bought a "9 can" cooler and a couple of little reusable blue ice packs. I also bought a 32oz tupperware/drink holder. Then later this evening I started mass producing home made protein bars. My plan is to pack up the cooler with 32 oz of milk, 2 protein bars, and a tub of cottage cheese and or brown rice and chicken. I figure 16 oz 2% milk and a protein bar will be one meal and easy enough to scarf down between classes. Meaning I will be able to keep 3 to 4 meals in my cooler with me at school. As a double edged sword I'm going to recycle my old cottage cheese containers by filling them with 1.5 cups brown rice then the rest to the top with chicken and a tablespoon of olive oil. Whenever I'm short on time or need to grab food to bring to work, BAM it's there and ready. This whole eating logistics thing gets crazy :bigthumbu

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 41 | I meant that reading that helps me stay dedicated to the dieting portion. But as far as packing goes, I cook pretty much all my meals that need be cooking for the week on Sunday.

| Pro Stature | I bought myself a little cooler to carry my sandwiches in during school. I'm there 8-12 hours some days and healthiest food is either Subway or Arby's. Normally there is a cheese/turkey sandwich and some ice cold water with a spoon and some whey. Going to start carrying some of those protein bars (homemade) with me soon. Need to find a way to pack a crap load of oats into a ball or something...... Also been carrying this low-fat yogurt I bought (10 for $3). 200 cal and 9g of protein each. Sometimes I'll buy some unflavored low-fat yogurt and stir in a scoop of protein powder. Doesn't taste half bad.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | when I sold cars I kept a small "dorm" fridge under my desk , tuna pouches and wheat bread in drawer, shakers and solid whey and/or muscle milk. MRP bars also, when you are fat and over 40 you can easily get away with, "Excuse me, I am diabetic - I have to eat/drink this - "would you like some..." [powdered dooky] ? - "No, ok"...... If your job gets in the way, try to learn some kind of tech discipline in LINUX, skelooth will back me on this one, people put nothing past geeks and expect them to act off the beaten path. The guy in the last cube with the black t-shirt, silver earring and goatee can carry all the coolers, jugs, and strange foods he wants (as long as the network stays up....)

The rest of your ideas sound great. I cook my chicken weekly, and I'm a big fan of PBJ Sandwiches. All day long I snack on Yogurt, Milk, and Oats. Without understanding calorie dense foods, there's no way I could have hit 250lbs.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 3 | I try to plan ahead and take foods with me when I'm going out. I make up rice and that the day before and keep it in portion-sized boxes in the fridge. My mum hates it when I pop round...I pull out her Health Grill and slap a steak on there... Can't go without that...I keep meaning to make home-made protein bars and stuff but just haven't got round to it yet.

![]() In that scenario I would simply go with PBJ + Whey... this takes seconds.. just like raw oats.

| IMPC Contestant | I take a cooler in my car to school each day with: 1/2 cup peanuts, 2 cups brown rice + 2 chicken breasts (one container), 2 whole wheat turkey breast sandwhiches, and if I stay after swim to lift, 2 cups noodles + 2 chicken breasts.
