Default Has Anyone Worked 100% Effort in Running

if any1 goes to looks at my journal, u may see my new post of my sprint work today.

now, my taget heart rate, max (85%) is 181 BPM, and 99% effort is round 201 BPM. now today, with my heart rate, i racked up over 200 BPM. the way i know it was over 200 cos i was trying to count and i couldn't keep up, and i had over 100beats in 30secs. so i must of been working over 100% effort.

my question is, has any1 else experienced this when running? and also, is that good or bad to be working that hard?

I have, I sprint as part of my contest prep. I have found short burst sprint work excellent for fat loss, metabolic upshift and my hams and quads never look as good when I do not sprint. I have no problems and my yearly flight physical and department physicals (I get two per year, one for the Army the other for the PD) show that I have the heart of a 20 year old (I am over 40)

The hardest I ever ran was up a really long hill at about a 30% angle. I passed out on the side of the road. I use that as my 100% baseline.
