Default Good maxes for 17 y/o

Just wondering what you guys would say good max lifts are for a 17 y/o at 172 lbs. I am thinking about entering a powerlifting meet next spring (I'll be 18 and hopefully around 180). I would estimate I can bench 325, squat 400, and deadlift 400. ESTIMATES. I haven't maxed since I started lifting last March, so their definately just estimates. (and I don't know what "perfect" form is for powerlifting).

I'll assume those are raw numbers. If that is the case, those are very good numbers; the bench especially. For a youngster, I would recommend lifting in the USAPL because it preaches proper technique and drug-tests heavily. Also, they created a RAW division in the past 20 months, for lifters looking to perform without gear. It's a great place to start. If you have more specific Qs, feel free to PM me.

Great! obviously they are very good but i wouldn't settle if I were you. Its easy to get complacent at at your average gym since most folks can't nearly lift that w8t. but you go to a more hardcore gym you may be middle of the road. IMO the deads should be 50-100lbs heavier right now. you should be able to deadlift more than you squat typically. There maybe a mechanics issue you need to work out with a spotter. To have a long career in this field train smart. Be honest hows the form? At your age i was rediculous what i "counted" as a rep LOL.
