Back from the Men's Pre-Judging;

Pre-Judging Callouts

First Group:
Branch Warren
Johnnie Jackson
Quincy Taylor
Ramon Gonzalez
David Henry

Second Group:
Frank Roberson
Pavol Jablonicki
Mustafa Mohammad
Armin Shultz

Third Group:
Miguel
Luke Wood
Joel Stubbs
Nasser El Sonbaty

Based on the callouts and further comparisons, here are my projected placings at this point:

1. Branch Warren
2. Johnnie Jackson

Very close between the two above.. they were compared together several times. Branch was harder overall and has better legs.

3. Pavol Jablonicki
4. Quincy Taylor
5. David Henry

Ramon Gonzalez and Mustafa Mohammad are knocking on the door for the top 5. It's close between the two of them and David Henry for 5th.

In a scarier moment, Armin Shultz passed out and somehow threw up at the same time on stage while standing in the back during callouts. Paramedics came to the stage and helped him off. But, he returned to the stage about 10 minutes later and finished the round. Not sure what happened there.

There were about 28-30 total competitors. Big field, and almost everyone looked really good.

A surprise was seeing Nasser back on stage.. he was HUGE.. but not hard enough to crack the top 10 most likely.

Branch is looking unreal. I looked at prejudging pics on musclemayhem. If he can bring this conditioning to the O he can crack top 10. He was unreal.

Hey Everyone,

Finally back to the room after the evening show, and a little after party in the hotel bar.

We had a blast tonight!
Before getting to the details of the fun, here are the results from the Pro Show..

1. Branch Warren..... Huge and Rock Hard.. Incredible
2. Johnnie Jackson.. very close.. could have gone either way really
3. Quincy Taylor - Big and looking the best I've seen him
4. David Henry - Looked FANTASTIC
5. Mustafa Muhammad

Very Good Top 5 and great field overall... 28 solid Pros.

Now for the fun..

We were fortunate to sit in the audience the entire evening show with one of my Personal idols Mr. Troy Alves.

Troy came and sat down with Kendra and I to say Hi, and decided to sit with us for the whole show. We met him 2 years ago when he guest posed at out show in Oklahoma, and he remembered us and decided to hang out to watch the show with us. Troy is a class act, and a great guy.
We discussed every competitor, the Olympia, the current state of bodybuilding, and many other topics. During the time we are hanging out, both Victor Marinez and Dexter Jackson called Troy on his cell to get the scoop. Just some inside info.. LOL... Victor is currently weighing 260 at 4 weeks out from the O! ( He told Troy on the phone during the show )

After the show, we said goodbye to Troy and decided to go to the hotel lobby bar to grab some food. Soon after we sat down, in came David Henry and his girlfriend Nikki. I went over to say Hi to David. We started talking and he asked if he and Nikki could join us at our table. Of course we agreed, and David, Nikki, Kendra, and I spent the last couple hours hanging out, watching football, drinking a few drinks ( David ate a whole Pizza ) and just having a nice time. David is now one of my new favorites. Not only does he look fantastic.. but he's a great guy.

During the posedown, the guys came out in the audience and, as you can see, Johnnie and Branch were right next to us posing down.

I should have some pics from Kendra's photoshoot today by tomorrow afternoon. I'll post them when I get them.

Kendra has another photo and DVD shoot tomorrow afternoon, but we get to sleep in the morning tomorrow. Yeah!

( Forgive if we look a little drained in the pics.. it's been a busy weekend, and a long, but fun day. Really looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow. I got about 3 hours sleep last night. Kendra got a little more.. but not much )

EME is the man... that is awesome that Troy was that good of a guy and sat with you all. That is really cool, and David Henry too, man that is awesome.

Victor at 260 is nuts 4 weeks out... hopefully he can come in crisp conditioning.

In my opinion from pics I have seen, I would have gave it to Branch then Jackson... Branch's legs are probably the best in history. I saw a picture of his quad sweep and it was over. If Branch can come in that condition at the O, i would sneak him into the top 7 probably. He is unreal, and Can't wait to see him at the Charlotte Pro.

Good luck with the dvd, and congrats to Kendra once again. She was great!
