EME - Contest Results w / pics!

Hey Everyone,

As some of you know, I competed on Saturday in the NPC Total Package Natural Bodybuilding Championships.

I placed First in the Open Lightweight Class, and had a great battle with the Middleweight winner for the Overall Title. The Middleweight ended up winning the Overall, but I was happy to win my class and to be in it at the end.

We had a great time at the show.

Here are some stage pics Kendra took with our digital camera, and some pics taken the morning after the show, after chowing down at Bennigans, and driking about 3 gallons of water.

There is also a pic taken with Craig Titus and Kelly Ryan. They were great. Kendra and I hung out with them for quite a while and really had a nice time talking with them. Kendra actually spent the whole evening show on Saturday with them.

There were two professional photographers at the show, so I'll have some really good stage pics later in the week. For now, feel free to check these out and I'll post the good ones when I get them.

It's been a long year of training for me, but well worth it in the end. Two drug tested competitions and two 1st place finishes, with one Overall Title.

Now, I look forward to eating and putting on some size.

Wow, you look so great! I'm glad you had such a nice time! You definitely look buff and vascular!

:nosthumbs Very impressive EME! I don't believe I could ever compete, I just don't have the discipline to be that ripped. I kind of prefer how I look when I'm 210 and 12% bodyfat, than 175 and cut to the bone. Someday I'll ask you how you deal with that mentally.

Thanks Everyone!

Eating is definitely the first order of business.

Let's see, I had pizza for lunch yesterday, pizza for dinner, and I'm eating a Snickers blizzard right now.

After a couple days, I'll settle back into a good lean bulking diet and work on putting on some good mass.

On Saturday, I weighed a full 19 pounds more than I weighed at my competition in June 2004, while keeping the same bodyfat measurement readings.

I really want to keep progressing, so I won't be eating junk food very long.

To answer your question Dan, I'm not sure if I'm going to compete next year or not. I may take the entire year off and work on adding some realy quality mass more slowly.. staying at around 10-11% bodyfat in the offseason.

We'll see how things look next spring, I could decide to do a late summer or fall show if I really miss competing.

Thanks again for all the postitive comments. I really expect the professional photos to be much, much better, so I'll post them as soon as I get them.

Damn man, I am impressed. Last year and earlier this year you looked awesome, really sharp but were lacking a bit of size. Now you are freaking ripped and huge. Your arms and shoulders and chest and stomach were killer. Really had great size as a lightweight. You deserved your placing, I am very impressed. Can't wait to see some more pics!

I really appreciate the compliments.
I felt pretty good about the added size and I even had two of the judges and one of the photographers ( all competitors also ) come up to me after pre-judging and ask me how I had made such improvements since last year.
( That made me feel really good )

Now it's back to putting on the mass. Hopefully I'll be much, much bigger when I see you at the Arnold in March!
