Those are realy nice EME. :nosthumbs Did you find your quads came in a little smoother then they have previously? Maybe it was the lighting but they had more size then other pics but a little less definition. Maybe it's just me.

Yeah,

My legs were significantly bigger, but a little less ripped this year.
Back was the same way. A LOT more size, but not as cut as when I weighed 18 pounds less. My bodyfat tested out the same as it did last year, so it really wasn't any extra fat, but maybe a little subcutaneous water.

That will be something I work on getting a better handle on for next year.
I'm going to focus on putting a LOT more leg and back size in the offseason this year, so they should come in big AND hard by next year.

It's funny though.. although my legs and back weren't quite as hard, my Abs were a 100 times better than last year, and they are usually the last thing to come in for me.

That's competitive bodybuilding for you!

Those are just great, Michael! Thanks for posting them! You look fantastic! I'm hoping to get better pics at this next show I'm doing. It's a bigger show and they even offer a DVD for sale. It's fun to have such nice memories of all the hard work! :bigthumbu

Thanks Hib!

I can't wait to see your next round of pics!

Yeah, it is great to have the memories, because that condition doesn't stick around for very long after the shows are over!... Trust me, I know.

I'm already up 10 pounds from last Saturday!

Your doing awesome EME. One question though, the Asian man that was there was he competing? I mean he looked horrible, gut, fat. Not being an a-hole or anything he is very big compared to me but he really doesn't seem competetion quality.

You know, he actually looked a lot better when he posed than he did when he was standing relaxed, but you're right, I agree that he could have come in better. I've seen him at some other shows, and he usually comes in the same way each time. He actually has some really big legs. I'd love to see him come in really ripped some time. I bet he could look really good.

I've found that in Drug Tested competitions, the lighter weight classes usually have the best competitors. In the drug tested shows I've done, the heavier weight classes often have guys with good size, but they just don't get cut enough. When you get up to the pro and national level drug tested shows, I'm sure there are some fantastic heavyweights, but I haven't seen it in the shows I've done.

Thanks!

I have a feeling that grape smuggling will never catch on. Shame, I had a good chance at 1st.

Yeah I can see a hard choice with the overall. He had you on hammies and in lats. You had better conditioning, and I liked your quads, stomach, chest. Your other body parts were about the same. It was a good match. Next year you will be it!

I like your build over his (in a hetero way) and you are taller. Plus I knocked a couple of points off him for wearing a pink "speedo". : pukey:

Thanks Ghosting and Trick.

He really did have a great physique. It was a good battle. He had about 15 pounds on me, and the overall size ( especially in his back and hams ) is what won it for him, in my opinion.

No hard feelings here though. Next year it's mine!!!
