Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 9 | I'm just wondering if everyone here practices what they preach or suggest in terms of lifting, nutrition, etc. Of course, most people do not go exactly by what they suggest because there are always extenuating circumstances. One of the problems I think that bb.com suffers from is that you have a board with a number of very dedicated people that follow strict nutrition, lifting habits, etc. and the rest of the members give the same suggestions but do not actually do everything they say. I don't think that you have to have first-hand experience in order to help and suggest ideas as long as you have done research and know what you are talking about. For example, I have not used AAS/PHs but I have researched them and probably know more about them than most users (I'm not an expert and will not claim to be one) so I feel that giving my opinion is warrented. To be totally honest, I just wanted to start some discussion and I thought this was an interesting idea.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 60 | I try to practice what I preach. The hardest thing for me right now is eating right because of my current schedule, but I eat as clean as I can. As far as the lifting advice I give, I tend to give advice based on what works for me as most people probably do. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 163 | For the most part i practice what i preach... However i dont think that you must in order to give good advice. I am sure that there are plenty of "gurus" out there that are fat slobs but really know their stuff... that being said, over at bb.com there are way too many little kids giving advice to grown men that is simply regurgitated(sp?) from someone elses posts without doing any actual research of their own.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 32 | Well you guys can trust in me... If I say it.. I do it... From my daily nutritional intake - to the way I workout, the exercyses, rep schemes, bodyparts etc.. - to the times I do cardio... I follow all of my advice.. I've never cut before... so I'm going to do a cut from October 7th until Nov. 17th (6 weeks) ... just so I can practice the thyngs I preach about losing bodyfat.. as I'm not trying to lose just weight, but specifically bodyfat.. If I never become bigger than all the humans, it won't be because I didn't give 110% ... But, I'll never tell someone to do anythyng I wasn't willing to do myself... Even the routine I'm using... I made it for someone else and I believe in my own advyce so much, I told him I'd drop my old routine and do the one I created with him... After we brainstormed on a few thyngs... it's now our new routine... Peace..~G

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 158 | I practice, or practiced, EVERYTHING that I preach. And if I'm giving advice that i haven't followed, I will usually note it in my comments, and tell them to do as I say, not as I do ![]()

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 19 | I practice what I preach (although I hope I don't "preach"). If I suggest something I haven't done or don't believe in, I will say, "A lot of folks feel that...." etc. I think this is necessary for credibility, which is something I value in others and hope others value in me. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 15 | My sig says it all. But don't worry, I usually only give advice that I have either practiced in the past, or am practicing now. You definately wouldn't know it by looking at me right now though. :o :shifty: Well, I don't look that bad.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 6 | Yes, I pretty much practice what I preach. Right now I am doing Max-OT and a ckd and I say so. I try to follow both as closely as I can, but being human I sometimes fall short. That is, I was visiting my sister and brother-in-law in their new house last week. For dinner I stayed exactly on keto target (roast chicken, green beans, green salad, water), but I had a pastry after dinner with coffee. I occasionally skip a set or two in lifting, and I am less than diligent about cardio. But I'm largely true to what I say I do.

What I practice, now, and what I preach are widely known and highly successful training and nutrition protocols. Frankly, I trained for years in the same basic rut with reps at 6-8 every week and the same exercises 1x per week done in the exact same order every time. I was gaining absolutely nothing year after year. I wasn't giving my muscle fibers any reason at all to grow any new muscle because they had completely accommodated themselves to my workouts. What I will preach today are the things that I've learned over the last 6-12 months. At the age of 41 years old, and not having grown any new muscle for probably aro |
