Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 60 | Where do you guys buy your clothes? I'm certainly not huge, but lately I've had a hard time buying stylish clothes that fit me well. It must be the current fad that if you don't look like an emaciated heroin addict and weigh less than 140 lbs clothes aren't made for you. Post links please if you have them. I have the hardest time finding shirts that fit well without the extra material around the waist and sleeves that don't come down past my elbows. I'm not really interested in gym-wear, just regular, everyday stuff. Thanks. ![]() |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 51 | Hey John I generally have to get my clothes altered. Anything off the rack that fits me in the chest / shoulders is almost always huge in the waist area. Plus my arms aren't really long, so most size L and XL shirts are way too long on me. I have many of my shirts taken in at the waist and the sleeves shortened so they fit well, especially if it's work attire. - EME Quote:

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 60 | Generally $10 - $20 depending on what you have to have done. I actually bought a sewing machine and learned how to do the waist alteration myself. I still have the sleeves done when I need them, or if it's a sport coat or jacket I have that professionally done. But for the basic polo or oxford style shirt, I have gotten pretty good a taking in the waist myself. Even if you have to pay for every shirt, it's well worth it if you are particular about your appearance. - EME Quote:
