Barrel chested...

Today while I was getting dressed I gave a quick look in the mirror to make sure my shirt fit right (haven't worn this one in a while) and I realized just how thick I am in the chest. Not like 'wow, what good pec's I have' but 'jesus, I look like a keg'. Sitting in a chair, I am 11" inches from back of chair to end of chest. Meaning I'm almost a freakin foot thick!

Well, I decided to do some research on the subject (I'm bored right now) and of most of the people I've found browsing various forums, almost all of them with the same massive rib cage were competitive swimmers. From the time I was 5 until about 11 I swam competitively and I was ranked in the county for 3 years straight in butterfly stroke. I never thought about it until now, but I have the lungs of a freakin whale, and aparently the rib cage of one now.

Just some food for thought.

Yep swimming is great for shoulder and chest developement.

Yeah I have a pretty big chest for my age and I think most of it is because I've swam competitively for almost 5 years.

and I'm a flyer as well so woot.

Awesome. I have no idea how thick I am, but definitely not that big.

It sucks, because from side on 17" arms look fuggin' tiny.
