Hey everyone!!!

Thank you all for the words of encouragement.

Well, to update his progress. The doctor said he didn't tear his muscle from the bone, he SHREADED it. OUCH!!!

He's doing ok for now. Drugged up and in bed.

His recovery will most likely be longer than 6 months. The doctor wasn't for sure he could fix it when he opened Michael up, but was able to reattach everything. Michael is not to use his arm for anything until he sees the doctor again next week.

Thank you everyone for caring so much about Michael. I really appreciate it and I know he does too.

We love you all!!!!

OXOXOX
Kendra

OUCH about the muscle shred. Great to know he is on his way to recovery and back to lifting heavy again well again in a while but the surgery sounds like a sucess. I hope for a speedy recovery.

Hey guys.

Just got up for a few minutes, so I wanted to reply and tell you how much all the well wishes and support means to me.

It will really help having you guys in my corner, and helping to motivate me if I get down.

Kendra has been a wonderful help, and so have all of you.

Thank you, as always.

Thanks bro. Good pain medication does wonders.
Typing is strictly one handed for a while though.

It actually feels better to sit up than to lay down right now which is why I'm up. The latest dose of meds is starting to kick in now though, so I better head back to the bed.

Talk to you guys soon.

Thanks Proppy!

I love having the aquarium next to the bed. Such a soothing sound.

Quick update...

Mostly just laying in bed resting. Getting up every few hours to take my meds, aminos, etc.. and check my e-mail.

My pain medication is doing a good job at keeping me comfortable, but I can sure tell when it's starting to wear off. Nevertheless, I'm trying to wean myself off of it. Yesterday it was every 4 hours... today I have been able to go every 5-6 hours. I'm hoping in a few days to only be taking it at night before sleeping.

I got some more good news from the WNSO.

They are going to do an article on me for the next issue of their FAME ( Fitness and Muscle Expo ) Magazine.

They have sent me an interview questionnaire to fill out, and have asked for some pictures to use for the article. I'm pretty excited about that.

Those guys have really been great.. everyone from the Executive directors.. to our regional director, and the head marketing person have all e-mailed me today to see how I'm doing.

Bill Llewellyn from Molecular Nutrition called me at home as well to check on me.

I know I keep saying this.. but it really means a lot to have all your support and well wishes.

It's times like these, when you hit a rough spot, that you really find out who's in your corner.

I really thank all of you at IronMass for thinking of me and keeping me in your prayers.

- EME

You've been such a helpful and instrumental member on these boards, I can't imagine people not supporting you during times like these. I don't post a ton, but I definitely read read read, and your posts are among my favorites to learn from.

You seem like a very resilient character, I'm sure you'll be better before you know it.

Hey J.

These past couple days, I haven't been too worried about my diet. I've been sleeping most of the day, and eating chicken noodle soup and other easy things. I've actually been eating some ice cream too. What the heck, I don't have to be on stage for a LONG time now.

As soon as I can start moving around a little more, I'll get back to a bodybuilding diet.... Protein and aminos are going to be of real importance since I'm trying to heal. I'll definitely have to back my calories way off from the previous level I was taking in. I'd rather be smaller and leaner.. than big , but fat when I am finally able to get back to training.

I go back to see my doc next week and I'll find out how long it will be until I can do some leg machine work.

It will be a while though. Right now, everytime I move very much, or even pick up something with my good arm I can feel it on the injured side.

It's going to be a slow road back.. but I'm going strictly by their recommendations.....I'm not going to hurt myself again and set myself back further.

Thanks for checking in J.
