ConsumerLab.com report finds unexpected nutrient levels, contamination

"The Vitamin Shoppe women's product contained 15.3 micrograms of lead per daily serving of two tablets...10 times the amount permitted without a warning in California"

Those that failed:

— The Vitamin Shoppe Multivitamins Especially for women: Contaminated with lead
— Hero Nutritionals Yummi Bears: Had twice the labeled amount of vitamin A
— Nature's Plus Especially Yours for Women: Took twice as long as allowed to disintegrate
— AARP Maturity Formula: Took nearly twice as long as allowed to disintegrate
— Eniva VIBE: Had only 54 percent of claimed vitamin A
— Pet-Tabs Complete Daily Vitamin-Mineral Supplement for Dogs: Contained lead - wtf?

Holy cow...those Yummi Bears sell like crazy at GNC too, kids love them. Ah well at least I can sleep well knowing the little buggers aren't vitamin A deficient.

Isn't this the same outfit that slammed all major manufacturers of car baby seats and then recanted and admitted that that farmed-out the research and didn't check the protocols?

Vitamin A overdose is bad, but 200% FDA isn't gonna knock you dead.

The lead is crazy though!
