| NGA & IDFA Master Pro | December 12, 2006 - 14 Weeks to go until the NPC N.KY on March 18th My last contest this year was on July 16th, the 2005 FAME S.N.B.F. Southern Open in Suwanee, GA. I placed Third in Open Men's Short, First in Super Grand Master 60+ and won Best Male Poser in the "drug tested" contest. That day, I weighed 135 pounds, with 4% body fat. Today, I am 30 pounds heavier (165) and a little more than 4% bf LOL and have begun my slow fat burning/cutting pre-contest diet. I am working again this year with Beverly International Nutrition for my diet advice and supplements. My plan, since July has been to add lean mass and work it hard in the gym to add five to seven pounds of new muscle for my 2006 contests. I will try to come in at the top of the Bantam Weight Class (143.25) and will also continue to compete with the seniors (60+). On Friday (12/9) I completed a 10-day High Carb Weight Gain diet to add the final five pounds I was seeking to be on target. For the next two weeks, I have modified that diet so as not to drop too much weight and muscle too soon. This is a gradual weight loss plan with the right amount of cardio to keep on track. Two weeks after the NPC N. KY contest, I will compete in the 2006 FAME S.N.B.F. Georgia Open, where I will defend my 2005 60+ title and try to do better than the Third Place I finished in the Open Men's Short Class. I have also registered to enter the 2006 FAME WNSO World Championships in Toronto, Canada. Last year I placed Third out of nine in Men 60+. I'm going to win the 60+ title in 2006. :eat: |

| NGA & IDFA Master Pro | EME. Good luck to you, too. As a lightweight, you are not as big as the BIG BOYS at the WNSO. You are going to have to be David going after Goliath. Another man near your size took on the Heavyweights last year, Gary Dalton. Gary is 5' 6" and weighs 160 pounds. He finished 10th in 2005. I wish you much success as you take on the bigger Pros. I am 5' 6.5" and weigh in at Bantam Weight. I have beaten my share of larger men and you will, too. Sic 'em dog! Regards, Old Navy |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 51 | Thanks Old Navy. I should be on stage about 175 this year, so I'll definitely have some added size from previous years. I'm 201 right now. By 2007 I should be closer to 190 in contest shape and I'll be able to give them much more of a run. Next June will be fun though. ![]() - EME Quote:

| Mushroom Cloud Laying.... | Good luck Old Navy. I have two friends that I belive are competing in it and there is a chance in hell I may watch it. Heath and Nick Chaffin are suppose to compete. They are twins that are about 5'5 or so and should compete around 175-185 pounds. One of them holds the NASA bench press teen record in the US. He benched like 390 @ 165 pounds. They are beasts and could really do some damage there. Good luck buddies!

| NGA & IDFA Master Pro | Trick D: I'm glad you said the twins were 175-185 pounds. LOL In addition to the Super Grand Master 60+ Class, I also take on the 20 & 30 year-olds in the Advanced Open Men's Lightweights (150 pounds), so the Chaffin boys will be in a weight class above mine. Whew...LOL Regards, Old Navy Train Hard. Train Natural. |

| NGA & IDFA Master Pro | "Trying to get in condition to compete in summer of 2006." Hey, Trick D, I just noticed your signature note....so, what's keeping you from getting into condition to compete next summer? Why don't you get ready and enter the 2006 FAME WNSO with EME, the Chaffins and Old Navy. They have an Open Class for first-time competitors. Stop sitting on the sidelines and get into the game. LOL Regards, Old Navy Train Hard. Train Natural. |

| Mushroom Cloud Laying.... | Heh... there is always the possibility but I am leaning on getting one more year of training before I step on stage. Plus I am very novice and never even had to think about dieting before. I will consider it of course.

| NGA & IDFA Master Pro | Trick D. Too much Moderating, not enough Working. Consider it now. Pick a contest, ask your novice questions on this Forum, get pumped and motivated, get your diet set. Order your posing suit...get ready. Don't be a spectator, be a Player. If Old Navy can train for his first contest at the age of 61 and enter six of them by the time he was 62, what in the heck are you waiting for? By the way, it's the most fun I've ever had in a sport. The FAME WNSO World Championships is June 15, 16, 17. That's Six Months From Now.... Regards, Old Navy Train Hard. Train Natural |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 51 | With all due respect, Trick has been busting his ass in the gym. Everyone has to decide for themselves when the time is right to get on stage. Trick knows he wants to, and he's working toward it. It's not like he's sitting at home on the couch just reading about bodybuilding. We talk about his workouts all the time. We all have to assess our physiques and decide if we are ready to bring the package to the stage that we feel we can bring. Of course, we don't need to wait until we are Pro level to get on stage, but you also want to feel confident and proud of your condition. If I had the choice, I would spend the entire next year adding size, and I would make my WNSO pro debut in 2007. But, I don't have that choice. If I don't compete in 2006 year, I forfeit my pro card. So, I'll be on stage and be the best I can be... but I wish I could wait one more year. Trick will be ready soon. If it's this year, awesome. If it's 2007, then he'll be that much better then! - EME Quote:

| Mushroom Cloud Laying.... | I appreciate Old Navy giving me support... he is just trying to get me to bust mine a bit harder... EME knows what I am going through, and I would like to add more quality mass. I have hitting the gym extremely hard but with capstone this semester and the amount of work I will be putting in to graduate this upcoming semester competing doesn't seem to be an option at this time. Hopefully soon after I will have the time and the size I feel I need. Thanks for the support you two... I love bodybuilding!

| NGA & IDFA Master Pro | Trick D: You know I was teasing. You will do it when it's right and when you are ready. Cool. FYI, I am training a young athlete six days a week for his first competition. He is also my training partner. He is 26, 6' 2", 210 pounds, 17.5 inch biceps, 44 inch chest, 33 inch waist, 24 inch quads, 16 inch calves and 5.5% body fat. I will have him at around 190 and < 4% bf by contest time. We will compete at the 2006 FAME S.N.B.F. Georgia Open on April 1st, where I will also defend my 2005 60+ title. He will compete as a Novice Heavyweight and Open Men's Tall. I will compete as a Open Men's Short and SGM 60+. This is two weeks after the NPC Northern Kentucky. My goal is to have him win the Novice Heavyweight and Novice Overall, the Open Men's Tall and Overall, pick up his FAME Pro Card and compete in the 2006 FAME WNSO in June as a Pro against EME and the rest of the Pros. By the way, he is a 'natural' athlete who was a law enforcement officer for two years and is now looking at a career in Federal Law Enforcement. He played varsity baseball in college. He asked me to train him when he kept getting hit on by our fellow gym rat "roided" bodybuilders who said, "Man, you look awesome, you should take it to the next step with some 'special' supplements we can help you get." He knew he wanted to compete but he thought the NPC was the only act in town. After I told him about FAME and a few other drug-free organizations he asked me to help him prepare, much to the chagrin of the 'roided' gym rats. Last edited by Old Navy : 12-13-2005 at 08:04 PM. |
