I never get why this is: ok. the first guy pictured looked plain fat. I'm sure he's strong as hell, but he didn't look like it because of his belly. The second guy looked strong as hell too, but he was a little smaller. Why do these strongmen seem to never have lower body fat?

He is the exception and not the rule. It is also clear that he uses a good amount of gear whereas I believe that the fat boys are probably able to compete drug free because they are so damn big naturally.

I doubt there natural. Also the fact that he uses gear can't account for being one of the few lean strongman. He just happens to care about how he looks, I mean if you look in the video one of the first things they show his him eating some jumbo sized ice cream...im willing to bet mariusz uses great nutrition. Not to mention he used to be a boxer and does 15 minutes worth of jump roping before every workout, does medium distance runs, and swims and takes karate class twice a week.

the german guy looked like he might have had a run in with some synthol...his biceps were ridiculous looking. they were also really smooth which kinda made me think of synthol.

Doubt it, maybe at the lower levels but not at the top. A 300lbs fat guy who is "naturally strong" would get destroyed by a chemically assissted athlete of the same height composed of all muscle.

I agree...alot of people actually seem to think strength can require more drugs than size...
