| Amateur | Okay guys i always add my height weight and age in every post when im asking a question so give me some leanency (SP) some maybe have my weight and stuff memorized :p Butttt Im 16 yrs old 6'3'' 350lbs + the gym dont have a scale that goes over 350lbs But What is the exact possibility of me getting to professional (sponsered meets) powerlifting.... Im in 10th grade and have to do a career report on what i wanna do when i get older... but they say i cant use PLifting because the chance of it is so low but they think being a professional coach (major leagues etc...) is easier to accomplish... I tryed arguing with my English teacher but she got mad at me today cuz i hate the english class all together im being raised in america i dont think i need no English class (See this is how i talk tho if you understand me whats the problem) but off topic so what do you guys think is the chance oh and also some Kid thats on the powerlifting team in my highschool thinks he has a better chance of getting into professional powerlifting because he can lift more pound for pound is this true although im stronger then him overall i know theres weight classes but i got 2-4 more years b4 im rdy to try prof. Plifting

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 95 | powerlifting isnt a career, you dont get paid to do it. sure, there are some meets where you get paid if you win or something, but its not a career. also, pound for pound matters the most in powerlifting.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 214 | Shit bodybuilding is hardly a career, let alone powerlifting. It sounds like you could stand to pay more attention in english class and go to college rather than bank on lifting heavy things to pay your bills; regardless of how good you are/can be, all it takes is one injury and you are DONE...then what? I know its hard to look past what you want to do right this second, but at least give yourself some options.

| Amateur | well i know that one injury could end it all... but seriously.. what could i do i can barely stand 3 hrs without my feet hurting so bad... i mean im over 350lbs i dont know anything more i love then lifting weights.. Well lb for lb maybe but i think geting up a 350lb bench from working out for 2 and so years is harder than gettin 180... There isnt anything id rather waste my life on then Lifting weights for a career but oh well.. i picked rocket science as my career report...

| FDU Devils Weightlifter | if your feet hurt, maybe its because your 350lbs. Not trying to be mean here, but you gotta look to your future, and powerlifting doesn't pay the pills. Hell, even olympic lifting doesn't pay. Put ur chips into something that will pay so you can lift in your spare time.
