Marunde didnt qualify - he took 3rd in his heat at the qualifiers last week. Apparently he reinjured his hamstring in an early event and it got worse as the weekend wore on, finally catching up with him on the last event where he finished last (or near last), allowing him to slip from 2nd to 3rd.

Conratulations Phil. He predicted he'd keep coming back until he won the WSM. I didn't think anyone would beat Pudzianowski the way he was performing in the qualifying heats. Great work for Don Pope too with a third place finish.:clapping:

I am so amped about it. Phil is from about 15 minutes outside my hometown. This is big news for west virginia strongmen. Phil is a good guy from what I hear, and a firefighter.
