Thumbs up The PL comp thread

I thought I would start a thread more tailored to the specifics of PL competitions. I am an old man, as considered by some, and I have the heart of a PL. The idea is to talk about anything that is specifically related to meet competitions, such as workout cycles for an upcoming meet, any diet changes you make for a meet, what equipment you like and use, or anything else, like in what organizations do you like to compete. Also, we can be a resource for the 1st time novice PL who isn't sure about how to prepare for a PL meet.

I have plans to compete in a pull and push meet (DL and BP) later this year. I'm not sure what weight class I'm going to compete in yet.

Over the last year ive been using more of a powerlifting routine(ever since ive been working out with daryl and james) and i can tell it really makes a difference. I dont know if i will ever compete but it's fun, specially when u start moving big weight

It really is a lot of fun. I have competed in BB contest and the PL meets are much more fun and so is the meet preperation. For a BB contest you have to eat less as the date approaches, but for PL you need to eat more. As long as you have room within your weight class to gain more weight.
