| FDU Devils Weightlifter | I was thinking about it, and it would be pretty nice to have some #'s for my squat from a meet, but I don't want to get back into wide squats for a few reasons, more so that it would mess with my catchs on the o-lifts and that it hurts my knee now. ![]() I think deadlift would be enough. I pulled 405 for one yesterday, I think if I work really hard, I can easily get back to 420 and maybe shoot for 440 on meet day.

I gotta find out how much to join and compete at this meet, when the weigh-in is (day before or day of) so I can figure out if I want to try and make it in the 198 class or 220. I'd prefer 198 so I can have an official 2x bw deadlift on the records, without having to attempt 440.

| FDU Devils Weightlifter | b/c I'm going to FDU in the fall (90% likely) and I'll be on the olympic weightlifting team. They are one of (if not the) best olympic college gym on the East coast. Why pass up this oppurtunity? Plus its way more fun

Recipes: 2 Rep Power: 96 | If your planning on going equipped than get some practice out of your suit. I recommend getting a squat suit and using that with the straps down. How is your training up to the meet? |

| FDU Devils Weightlifter | honestly, I'd rather go raw, I don't have money to play around with a suit that I'll only use when I prepare for a deadlift meet, specially when I'm just getting ready to invest 20k + for college. My plan right now is to deadlift once or twice a week, once heavy, once speed, or both heavy. By heavy I mean Doubles and triples near/above 90% and singles over 95%. I'll be taking the week of off completely and pulling my opener 2 weeks prior to the meet and cycle the volume and intensity down the week before. I'm thinking the opener will be around 390 or so. Like I stated before, I would like to nail 440 at the meet. Doesn't mean I have to nail it at the gym, but I would like to. I think I can do it as I locked out 445 from bottom of the knee tonight after a long lifting session. Fresh I think it would be easier, but still not off the ground.
