Recipes: 2 Rep Power: 96 | Go to Kyle's website and order band #1 from him for something around $20 or something. I doubt 1 band will cost $80. |

| is missing heavy pulls | bands and chains are used to add resistance to the lift they can bu used for many things and were made populare by westside. they can be also be used To maximize the use with the bench press make sure you keep tension at the bottom of the movement. Doubling the bands up and running them under a dumbbell can accomplish this. * A great way to train the rear delts and upper back is to hold the mini band in front of your body with your arms extended at face level. Then you pull the band apart while driving the elbows back. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 199 | I understand the bands because the farther you stretch the band the more the tension will increase. But, I'm having trouble with the chain idea. I guess I'll have to try it to see what its all about. Thanks to both of you for the great posts! You guys rock. ![]()

"Simmons has described a training method using free-weights together with large chains (31,32). The large chains were hung from each end of a barbell using smaller chains. When the bar is lowered, the large chains accumulate on the floor, gradually decreasing the total resistance. When the bar is raised, the total resistance increases throughout the range of motion. Simmons claims this method improves the muscles neurological response and overloaded the top part of the lift, which ordinarily does not receive adequate resistance, with accommodating resistance." tooken from here http://www.strengthcats.com/variableresistance.htm | |
