I mean like in the IPA or somethin like that. Not just this high school stuff.I love competing.Im hopin to make it to regionals this year!I have two meets before then to qualify. If I make it in my first year powerlifting, that would be awesome for me!It would only be after four meets.Ive gone to two so far.Now only two more before regionals!

oh, you just join the federation of your choosing and go to competitions that are scheduled whenever.

example :

I'm looking for meets in my area coming up sometime in the summer and I'm currently deciding which federation I want to be in to start with.

i lift with guys in your weight class that are putting up 1500+ lbs and don't even think about it. You are going to need to train for another 10 years, then start juicing, then get ur total over 1900, then start thinking about going pro.

Consider PSU for lifting. We are looking at a few really great highschool recruits. We are going to be a force in the collegiate world in short time.

I really wish my school had a PL team. Its quite sad that there really is no one interested in it, even though theres a huge PL gym not more then 20 miles from the school (and I can't effing find it either!)

From what I've gathered with talking to some Powerlifters at my gym in that past that I'm pretty good friends with is just start entering some comps. Look at some different federations and see which one you would like to compete in as each one has their own rules and guidelines. Find one that you think you would feel comfortable competing in and go at it.. All the powerlifters at my gym lift in the NASA Federation which is a pretty good federation based on what I've heard from them.

Good luck.

Why does it matter? Right now there are 19 year olds that bench 600 and deadlift 800. What you gain is knowledge over time. A lot of people have been lifting there whole life, some have been lifting a year.
