any chance we can get a "padded room" type forum, and just isolate all the political BS & propaganda in one spot? we've already got the automotive sub-forum in MISC, I think having a "anything goes" type sub-forum where people can argue politics and whatever else without cluttering up the board would be awesome.

Always strayed away from this because it tends to erupt flame wars and bad feelings between members, politics brings out people's ugly side.

Though it would be a busy forum and quite ... colorful, that's why I haven't ever brought it here. It would have to be heavily moderated, but I just see it bringing bad feelings between opposing sides and IronMass has always been a community not a board.

ya dude, i agree with everything you're saying... except I think people are going to discuss politics and step on eachothers toes regardless. especially with the upcoming election and heavy political season.

with a seperate forum atleast all the political stuff would be sequestered to one area, and the people here that dont care for it wouldnt have to look at it. and that'd help the the misc forums keep the community type vibe.

It would be nice. However the two biggest things that cause fights in this world is religion, and political views...thats what email is for . We don't want people thinking we are expressing certain views of this board when we are not and this is an everyones board, everyones invited we do not want people to be getting pissed because of posts
