Preferred post format?

Which post format would you prefer seeing? If the bb.com style is highly preferred, perhaps an admin will consider switching it.

If you've visited bodybuilding.com's forums you'd know the style i'm talking about. I know it doesn't make a big difference, but I know a lot of people are used to the old style and it makes everything look a lot different, however I also know this isn't supposed to be an emulation of bb.com

i think this one is pretty cool. A lot of websites use the vbulletin style like bb.com. this one is unusual and nobody that i know of uses it.

One of the reasons why I don't like it the way it is now, is the fact that it takes up so much more space per post.

Also, going on the left hand side might allow for a few other 'addons' to the forum. (no not rep system), but a few things I have hidden up my sleeve

I agree, if the majority (more than only 4 votes) still prefers it this way you can always leave it be, but if you wish to change it just pm me and I can give you instructions on how to do so.

EDIT: Also, if you need any php or perl databasing help or anything (although as far as I know you didn't make this forum from scratch, rather used an exsisting forum, like yabb or anything like that) but if you want to add some additions/features that you can't do with the options presented with whatever software you're using, I can help out with the coding, again just pm me.

i went back and read the topic of this thread noticing that it was about bb.com/ironmass and that everyone liked this style better, wow never knew i thought like other people

Yeah I kinda got the impression that Khan was a cocky ****** when I first started going here. No offense Khan

. But that changed pretty quick, because he knows his shit and is actually courteous in his posts. I dunno why though, but I first got that impression.

Edit: Oh yeah, and I like the style just how it is. It does take up some space, but for now its perfectly fine. This is not bb.com and doesn't need to be like it. I also don't like the idea of black and red. That hurts my eyes.....

What good does it do to be like every other site out there known to bodybuilding? It doesn't do any good whatsoever. If this site is going to make a name for itself, it has to be different down to minute, and seemingly insignificant details.

I am not cocky, but I will state things how they are. Notice, you won't catch me belittling people. Lately I haven't been able to demonstrate expertise anywhere because I am too busy trying to keep things smooth here.

The reason all of the people here want it like bb.com, is because everybody is coming over from bb.com. Our job is not to placate you guys and make it a bb.com replica. That is NOT the goal of this place. We work to improve it, and make it better than other sites, not to make it like the sites that you happen to get banned from, or become annoyed by.

To the continued success, and growth of Iron Mass, hopefully it surpasses every other bodybuilding site on the net both in quality content, and quality members.

Well said, and I do agree with you bro, and trust me I'm not trying to get it like bb.com (I know you aren't accusing me of that either) I just used it as an example as it was the first vbulletin forum that came to mind with that style that a lot of you guys here probably are familiar with, I personally prefer that style because of the better usage of space. However me and Sholiz are in some talks, and down the line it will probably be something of our own design, something unique. Or it may even be made from scratch eventually, and not using yabb, phpbb, vbulletin, ect, ect. Don't quote me on that however, and i'm not saying it's likely or anything, but it is a possibility. Changes and enhancements however are sure to come.

EDIT: For the first little while it'll all be seemingly insignifigant little tweaks, but as a whole it'll add up, and they will also probably grow into some bigger transformations over time aswell.

yea to think about it khan, black and red isnt the best color combination. dark grey light grey and white is too dull for me, but hey i didnt come here to checkout the site, i came here to learn
