The key purpose of this is to increase member activity on Iron Mass.
Members will try to achieve certain status as listed above by posting across the board, and by doing this they will attract more guest to join. Now, we need to develop a "prize" for doing this. We can have certain offers or discounts when a members achieves a certain stauts.

EG.

WHAT ARE QUALITY POST? HOW CAN YOU DETERMINE THIS?
Almost the same way you guys determine the status of a "silver" or Gold" member. A great idea would be to have one moderator to have that specific job. Monitor and review every post made by a member to is about to increase rank. Make sure they are not "crappy", "useless" and "worthless" post. That would be the job and purpose of a SECURITY MODERATOR.

i like the idea but i think the requirments need to be higher like
HONORABLE VIP should need atleast like 5000 post maybe more or you need more ranks cause some pople alread have 2000+ post and this board has only been here for like a year

also how do you go about getting stars and ribbons

another thing is you want to some how ensure it is quality posts, and not just people bumping etc... cause that will just clutter the forum with a bunch of garbage posts....

Whatever gets done just make sure to really think it through... there is no rush on it... measure twice, and cut once...

I agree, let me change it up a bit and let me get back to you.
There should be at least one that will make it VERY hard to achieve.

The stars and ribbons will be up to sholiz and the admin. It looks great and makes the member seem powerfull. They would be placed under the username or under the member's post count. Almost like the rep system or karma, looks nice BUT you don't "suck up" to other members in order to get another star.

The mods and admin can do this, or they can assign a moderator, SECURITY MODERATOR (listed above) to do this job. He/she will review and read every post. Not all at once. When that mods is logged on, he will make sure that all ost are of some quality. If there are any "crappy", "useless" and "worthless" post, then the mod would delete it and warn/advice the poster. OR the status can be declined.

It is usualy pretty obvious when people are just posting to get post count.. I don't think every post has to be reviewed to find them. A mod or admin can just remind them that quality posts are important..

it could be included in the post with the final explanation of the status system...

Massive that looks good... we have actually been trying to figure out a way to give "rep"... but not really have a rep system.. so this would work really well I think..
