Make ALL forums (aside from AAS) viewable by guests!!

Not only is it annoying that whenever I link a friend to this site they can't see and don't want to sign up to see.... I bet our sign up rate would be BETTER if guests could actually SEE the content on the boards before signing up.

I never noticed this before, I would agree to make a few forums visable as a sample. Maybe all of them.

Skel,

I'm not sure which forums AREN'T visible to guests ( other than AAS ), but almost all of them are.

I have links to my Mass Building log and to Kendra's Europa SuperShow Photo thread on many other sites and guests view them all the time with no problem.

Look at the Who's Online feature and you'll see guests reading all sorts of content on the boards.

I'm really not sure what you are talking about... am I misunderstanding?

Yea I see guests looking at threads all the time,and I signed out and tryed it and everything cam up except AAS

Last check there are a couple of boards that are members only... I *think* the post your photos one is one of them, I don't remember which exactly, and it may have been changed since then.

I'm too lazy to log out and check, I just wanted to stir the waters a bit ^_^

The only thing guests can't view is attatchments, and I guess I kind of agree with that.

But I can't view it, even when logged in. However, it is showing up on SupplementJudge under the latest threads... which is a permissions bug in vBulletin evidently. It shouldn't show up on the RSS feed if it can't be viewed by normal members. Maybe something needs to be adjusted in the permissions where sponsors have different read abilities than normal members.

The thread mentioned by ellipticer was very recently removed from the open forum.

The thread mentioned by Meat Head is in a restricted area of the forum.
To view it you have to be a member of the AAS section. Membership to the AAS section must be requested through the link on the main forum index.
