Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 158 | I installed a GREAT new anti spam module on my phpBB boards at http://patrickavella.com/phpBB2 the way it works is that when you sign up not only do you have to validate the picture, but you also have to answer a random question. Me and my moderators have gone from deleting 25-50 spam bot accounts per week, now i have not had a single automated sign up in 3-4 days! So i just wanted to say, if there is a similiar module for invision, you might want to put the leg work into installing it. This is like the 4 th thing i've tried, and it actually WORKS.

| Soldier In Progress | It's not spammers, 99% of them are bots that just scope out links via search engines, or probally Sholiz.com which links to this site and registers, can interpret the validation image, and automatically goes through making a post -- that, or just registers and leaves the account dormant.

Sholiz, same difference, stop being difficult and come to grips with the fact that I gave some solid advice.

| Soldier In Progress | yes i know, but i don't exactly have 30 minutes to spare to mess around with it. vB's default validation image is already in play, I haven't exactly had more than 20 minutes on a computer in the past 4-5 days to even touch base with this subject. find a vB plugin or extension and i'll install it.

| Soldier In Progress | OK, as soon as I update vB ($30 renewal fee for the year) I can add the same thing you're rockin' at your board Skel.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 158 | I still haven't gotten a single spam since installing the system ![]() Anyway, Feedback on your spam policy. As funny as it may be to edit the spams and automated posts.... how about deleting them? They're starting to get more frequent.
